DRIVING SAFETY TRAINING

During our driving safety training, you will experience the driving physics of a specially protected vehicle in a different way and use the chance to test the behavior and limits of these vehicles without danger. Our driving safety training was developed by specialists of the German Federal Armed Forces. The basis of this driving training is the behavior and limits of armored vehicles in various situations. The aim is to practice driving techniques that will enable you to react quickly and correctly in an emergency in order to skilfully avoid possible dangers and obstacles. Of course, we also train safe off-road driving away from paved roads.

The course will take place in Waldmünchen / Furth im Wald

The course will be held from 9:00 to 17:00 each day

You are welcome to bring your own vehicle

Searching the vehicle for IEDs (Unconventional Explosive and Incendiary Devices)
Preventive danger defense
Control of the vehicle in extreme situations
Introduction to the background of the use of specially protected vehicles
Theoretical introduction to the driving dynamics and physics of specially protected vehicles
Behavioral measures in critical situations (checkpoints, ambushes, accidents, breakdowns, carjacking or attacks)
Fire fighting of a burning vehicle
Driving in convoy
Instruction in NATO radio language
Driving with protective vest
Self-protection in countries with a high crime rate
Perception of external circumstances on / along the road
Communication within a convoy
Mine awareness, recognition of land mines or other explosive devices on / near the road

Slalom (dynamic wheel load change)
Hazard braking
Target braking
Evasive hook (one-sided)

Takeover of the vehicle by co-driver in case of driver failure
Handling exercises
Driving in steep and muddy as well as in dry and sandy terrain
Driving in a swamp
Recovery of stuck vehicles
Technique on the vehicle
Changing tires on unpaved ground

Parking
Reversing with mirrors
Turning in three turns

Urban area

Driving in a convoy within cities (spacing between cars, speed control, communication within a convoy)
Behavior in traffic jams and at red lights
Distances of vehicles in a convoy and speeds
Control of the vehicle in extreme situations (e.g. during a vehicle pursuit)
